Komen Austin Race for the Cure moves to The Domain · 06.23.09

The Domain will soon be home to the Susan G. Komen Austin Race for the Cure®. This year’s race will be held at The Domain on Sunday, November 1, with more than 22,000 race participants expected. The relocation from downtown signals a move by the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to ensure the continued growth of Austin’s largest race.

This year, the race will begin and end just west of Burnet Road, with the course winding through The Domain and parts of the IBM Campus. Ultimately, the Komen Austin Race for the Cure® will make its home in a new 9-acre park being added to The Domain, just steps away from the community’s extensive retail, dining and entertainment.
